About Us

Overview

The culture of learning helps foster critical thinking as much as it determines our vantage point and outlook toward the world we inhabit. Amongst the centers of learning, a high school is of paramount importance: Its curriculum and work culture enable us to develop our core competencies and evolve our ethical framework which becomes an indispensable part of our identity. The school we receive looks beyond appearances and embraces a robust approach that allows students to accept and consciously respond to myriad challenges provides an environment that enhances their skillset and knowledge production abilities, and in the process become active contributors to making this world a better place to live.

Following the spirit of this broad base education model, Idarah Falahu Darien (a non-profit registered society), envisions a world-class school that is in sync with its basic idea as well, which includes:

  • Commitment towards teaching thought and harnessing thought process
  • Harboring social values that uplift community standards through active contribution
  • Enhancing choice-based schooling, without clouding critical judgment by imposition approach
  • Adapting and developing social technologies to respond to contemporary challenges

Channelizing the curiosity of students by creating a learning culture that facilitates their intellectual endeavors. IFD, with its deep commitment to aforesaid objectives, established the Aarifeen School of Excellence (ASE) in 2018. Though in its infancy, the school has been largely well received by society yet has a long journey ahead.

Brief About ASE

Located in the pristine area of Delina Baramulla, the school campus is encompassed by calm and pollution-free surroundings. The curriculum and classroom ecology are set up in a manner that offers conducive learning. The technologically aided pedagogy and teaching methodologies further strengthen the teaching-learning process. The academic as well as non-academic school activities intend to equip the students with the skills which would make them able to be responsible, contributing, resourceful members of the community.

We believe that a conducive school and classroom environment is pre-requisite to healthy learning. Whether it is the color of the walls or the arrangement of the desks, everything sends impression to students and can affect the learning curves of the students. Our classrooms have been designed in a way that strengthens the teaching-learning process. For effective teaching-learning process and better output, the classrooms are equipped with SMART-Boards and other instructional aides. Field trips, regular morning assemblies, special classes and school-wide events further reinforce the learning experience of the students.

About IQRA

Unlike most Islamic Studies programs of today, IQRA’s program embraces all the constituent elements of what has traditionally been labeled “Islamic Studies”. This means that its overarching curriculum encompasses a study of the Qur’an, Aqidah, Fiqh, Seerah, Ulum-ul-Hadith, Islamic History and Arabic Language.

Furthermore, each of these subjects is taught at separate grade levels (Pre-K – 12), at the students’ level of understanding. This is an important point, because it’s commonplace for Islamic Studies classes to be taught using books that are not only contextually unfit for 21st century Muslim youth, but written far above the readability of a particular age-level, thereby preventing students from digesting and connecting with the goals of the instruction.
