5th Sep Teachers Day (All Grades)
On 5th September, Teachers’ Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at school, where students showcased their talents through various performances. The event began with a soulful tilawat followed by engaging kawali, naath, and inspiring speeches dedicated to teachers. Students also performed a lively tarana and entertained the audience with a fun mimicry act. To make the day special for teachers, they participated in a game organized by the students, where they won exciting gifts as a token of appreciation. The event was a heartfelt tribute to teachers, celebrating the bond between students and educators.
22nd August Visit to Book Fair at SKICC Srinagar (4th Grade)
On 22nd August, Aarifeen School of Excellence organized a visit to the Book Fair at SKICC Srinagar for its students. The event aimed to promote reading habits and expose students to a wide variety of books and authors. The students explored different genres, interacted with publishers, and participated in discussions on literature. The visit inspired a greater interest in reading, enhanced their knowledge of various subjects, and encouraged them to build personal libraries, fostering a lifelong love for books. The experience also helped improve their understanding of the importance of literature and intellectual growth.
31st August Desert Diorama Making (4th Grade)
On 24th August, the 4th-grade students completed a project on making a desert diorama. Through this hands-on activity, students explored various features of desert ecosystems, including the unique flora and fauna that thrive in arid conditions. The project helped them understand concepts such as adaptation, survival strategies, and the importance of water conservation in desert environments. As a learning outcome, students enhanced their creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills while deepening their knowledge of natural habitats.
Summer Camp 18th to 20 th July:Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering (IISM), Gulmarg (2nd to 4th)
From 18th to 20th July, a summer camp was organized at the Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering (IISM) in Gulmarg, offering students an enriching outdoor experience. Each day began with Fajr prayer, followed by a refreshing morning walk and assembly drill. After breakfast and freshening up, the students embarked on a trek around the scenic surroundings, exploring nature’s beauty. The afternoons included a hearty lunch and a short nap, followed by engaging outdoor games. Evenings were lively with snacks, cultural programs showcasing student talents, and a bonfire to end the day on a warm, celebratory note. The camp provided students with physical fitness, teamwork, discipline, and a connection to nature . It also encouraged students to develop endurance and outdoor survival skills.
Taekwando Championship 6th July & 7th July:in collaboration with the Kashmir Taekwondo Association (1st to 4th)
On 6th and 7th July, a Taekwondo Championship was organized at Aarifeen School of Excellence in collaboration with the Kashmir Taekwondo Association. The event saw enthusiastic participation from various schools and clubs across Kashmir, showcasing their martial arts skills and competitive spirit. Students competed in different categories, demonstrating their agility, strength, and discipline in the sport. The championship not only promoted physical fitness and self-defense skills but also fostered a sense of sportsmanship and camaraderie among the participants. It was a highly successful event, highlighting the growing interest in Taekwondo within the region.
29th June Educational Tour to Gulnar Park (Nur,LKG)
On 29th June, the nursery and LKG students went on an educational tour to Gulnar Park. During the visit, they explored nature, observed different plants, birds, and small animals, and engaged in playful activities in a natural setting. The trip provided an opportunity for them to develop their sensory skills, improve their understanding of the environment, and enhance their social interactions with peers. 24th June Umbrella Day (Nursery)
24th June, the nursery students celebrated Umbrella Day with excitement and creativity. Each child brought colorful umbrellas to school and participated in fun activities, including storytelling, songs, and art related to rainy weather. The celebration helped them learn about the importance of umbrellas during the rainy season and the concept of weather changes. 20th June Eid Celebration Eid Milan (All Grades)
On 20th June, the school celebrated Eid ul-Adha with an event called “Eid Milan,” bringing together students from all grades. The celebration was filled with joy and cultural activities, including traditional songs, dances, and storytelling about the significance of Eid ul-Adha. Students and teachers dressed in festive attire, and the day concluded with a sharing of sweets and lunch, symbolizing the spirit of unity and giving. 1st June Graduation Day (Grade 2 & 3)
On 1st June, the students of Grade 2 and Grade 3 celebrated their Graduation Day at school with great enthusiasm. Dressed in caps and gowns, the children proudly walked across the stage to receive their certificates, marking the completion of an important academic milestone. The event featured speeches, performances, and heartfelt moments shared with teachers and students. Favourite Summer Outfit Day 25th May (Nur)
On 25th May, nursery students celebrated “Favourite Summer Outfit Day,” where they came dressed in their favorite summer clothes, showcasing bright colors and comfortable outfits suitable for the season. The event was designed to teach the children about summer weather, appropriate clothing choices, and the importance of staying cool and comfortable. As a learning outcome, students developed an understanding of seasonal changes, improved their self-expression by discussing their outfit choices, and gained confidence through participation in a fun, interactive group activity.
Trekking Trip 18th May-Nowgam Kandi (3rd ,4th)
On 18th May, Aarifeen School of Excellence organized a trekking trip to Nowgam Kandi for students of grades 3 and 4. The trip was designed to introduce young students to the beauty of nature and the importance of physical fitness. During the trek, students learned about teamwork, resilience, and environmental awareness, as they navigated trails and observed the local flora and fauna. Septic Tank Model Activity 11th May (Grade 4)
On 11th May, the Grade 4 students participated in a hands-on activity where they created a septic tank model. Through this project, they learned about the importance of sanitation, how septic tanks function in waste management, and the role they play in keeping the environment clean. The students used materials like cardboard, clay, and pipes to build a working model, enhancing their understanding of basic engineering and environmental science. The Favorite Fruit Survey – 29th April (LKG)
On 29th April, LKG students participated in a “Favourite Fruit” survey, where each child brought their favourite fruit to school. This hands-on activity allowed the children to explore different fruits, share with their classmates, and discuss their preferences. Through this, they developed social and communication skills while learning to express their choices. The activity also introduced basic concepts of sorting and categorization. Charity Drive Ramadan Activity 4th April (All Grades)
On 4th April, the school held a charity drive as part of its Ramadhan activities, where children were encouraged to bring a small amount of money, whatever was possible for them, to support those in need. This activity helped instill the values of generosity and empathy in the students, teaching them the significance of giving, no matter the amount. By participating in this meaningful act of charity, the children learned about sharing and contributing to their community.
